tell (powiedzieć) – told (wymaga dopełnienia)

'I will be there', you told me. - You told me that you would be there.
'We are tired,' they told me. - They told me that they were tired.

advise (radzić) – advised

'Take an umbrella,' he advised me. - He advised me to take an umbrella.

suggest (sugerować) – suggested

'You ought to see a doctor', she suggested. - She suggested that I see a doctor.

Present simple

'He studies journalism,' she said. -> She said (that) he studied journalism.

Present continuous

'He is studying journalism,' she said. -> She said (that) he was studying journalism.

Present perfect

'He has studied journalism,' she said. -> She said (that) he had studied journalism.

Preset perfect continuous

'He has been studying journalism,' she said. -> She said (that) had been studying
